Blacklight steals victory over PNW

Last nights game between PNW and Blacklight was a great game. It ended with Blacklight squeaking by PNW 84-77. PNW who controlled the tempo the entire game squandered the lead late in the 4th quarter giving Blacklight their first win of the season.

Blacklight who finished last season with a sour taste in mouth after losing in the playoffs to NRNW looks like a team who can possibly contend for the title this season. They were led by Kayote who finished with 17 points and Ramell who finished with 18 points. The late arrival of Delroy who finished with 9 points definitely sparked the offense and gave them that boost to finish off PNW.

PNW looked solid in the first three quarters, but not having that one player to control the tempo of the game prove to be costly and missing 16 free throws in the game didn’t help either. Also, not having any rebounders on team didn’t help much either. They were dominated on the boards. PNW has too many guards on the team who needs the ball to be effective. They will have to let some of them go and reshuffle their line-up. They definitely need to hit the free agent market for some big men.
